Comfrey roots and leaves contain allantoin, a substance that helps new skin cells grow, along with other substances that reduce inflammation and keep skin healthy.

Calendula is great for treating wounds or soothing dry, irritable skin, and can help with nappy rash in infants too.

Witch hazel leaf water has an astringent and anti-inflammatory effect and also promotes cell division and skin regeneration.

Yarrow provides antiseptic action for skin difficulties, soothes itching, and imparts it’s tonic qualities to the whole body through the skin.

Uva-ursi contains allantoin, which is a cell proliferant, it strengthens and tightens inflamed tissue, and decreases swelling.

Shepherds Purse has detergent and vulnerary qualities.

  • Bring one gallon of water to a boil and pour over the herbs. Let steep until cooled. Strain and store the extra tea in the refrigerator for up to 10 days. Add 2 cups of tea to each bath and soak for 20 minutes. For treatment and best results use twice daily or as needed.
